INTENDED USES: Novachor® is a fresh allograft wound covering intended for use in the management of acute and chronic wounds. Novachor® may be
applied as a wound covering to a variety of partial- and fullthickness acute and chronic wounds, and wounds with exposed tendon, muscle, joint capsule and bone. Novachor® can be applied from the onset and for the duration of the wound, weekly or at the discretion of the health care practitioner.
CLAIMED BENEFITS: Novachor is comprised of the chorion layer of the placental membranes. This membrane is known to contain 1) collagen types I, III, V, VI laminin, fibronectin and proteoglycans; 2) trophic proteins; 3) growth factors; 4) Tissue Inhibitors of Matrix Metallo-proteinases (TIMPs); and 5) pluri-potential cells.
