Pharmapad is a double-side laminated, non-adherent wound-dressing / contact layer.
INTENDED USES: Low to moderate exudating wounds, Deep and superficial wounds.
CLAIMED BENEFITS: Pharmapad is highly absorbent non-adherent wound pad, laminated from both sides with PE net that prevents sticking to wounds. The PE allows rapid passage of wound exudates through the wound pad open weave. Absorbent nonwoven pad gives fast controlled abosrbency of light exudates and constructed to avoid strike through. Aseptic dressing technique is assured by the individual peel-apart packaging of each sterile dressing.
Contact layer dressings are thin, non-adherent sheets placed on the entire wound to prevent adhesion of the overlying dressing to the wound. They are porous and allow the fluid that comes from the wound to be absorbed by the overlying dressing. They are not meant to be changed with every dressing change and can be left in place for a week. Because they are designed to be non-adherent and skin-friendly, a wound contact layer is ideally suited for wounds where the skin tissue surrounding the wound bed is fragile. They are indicated for moderate to heavily exuding wounds.
