Radiometer Transcutaneous oxygen and consumables E5250 TCPO2 Electrodes

Radiometer Transcutaneous oxygen and consumables is a hyperbaric oxygen accessory or supply. INTENDED USES: Used for O2 measurement. CLAIMED FEATURES: Consists of a Clark electrode with a platinum cathode and a silver anode as reference. Upon measurement, the O2diffuses through the skin and membrane into the electrode where the O2 is reduced, generating a measurable current. The size of the current determines the transcutaneous partial pressure of O2 (tcpO2).The electrode heats the skin to 37.0-45.0 °C in steps of 0.5 °C to achieve full vasodilatation and to obtain significant tcpO2 measurements.Radiometer electrodes are renowned for their measuring accuracy as well as their durability and ease of use in clinical practice. They show demonstrably low drift and rapid response during measurements. The pO2 part of the electrodes has an extremely low oxygen consumption, which makes it possible to obtain reliable measurements at sites of the body with poor perfusion.

Product Information

Hyperbaric Oxygen Accessories and supplies are items necessary for daily operations, safety, maintenance and the delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the patient.

All hyperbaric chambers and related support systems used to support clinical hyperbaric medicine must be designed, fabricated, and installed in accordance with the requirements of ANSI/ASME-PVHO-l, Safety Standard for Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy.

All hyperbaric chambers and related support systems must be installed and operated in accordance with the fire safety requirements of the National Fire Protection Association's NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities,  Chapter 14: Hyperbaric Facilities and cited references.

Particular attention must be given to ensure that only items approved for use in a hyperbaric environment be utilized. These items include but are not limited to the hyperbaric chamber itself,  Krytox lubricant , gurney mattresses, pillows and positioning devices. Grounding bracelet and cord, heart monitoring leads and pressure line monitoring cables and airbreak system.

Ancillary Hyperbaric equipment utilized outside the hyperbaric environment would be smoke hoods, timers, Grounding multimeter, safety posters, and Novus polishing kit for polishing and restoring the hyperbaric chamber acrylic.

Examples of items NOT permitted in the chamber include all battery-powered devices, external pacemaker generators, Holter monitors, TENS units, external insulin pumps, watches, hearing aids, pens, smoking materials (matches and lighters) silk tape, and thermal skin patches.

All electrical equipment must be outside the hyperbaric chamber except intrinsically safe equipment. All equipment must be maintained and checked for leakage, integrity and grounding.
