Great question ...

I pulled up the SDS for Dermabond. I was looking specifically for the off gassing or vapor data. Unfortunately, it wasn't a productive search.

So, what do we do with an unknown (or supposed) flammability product in the hyperbaric environment? Let's treat it like something we do know with high flammability ... like acetone or off gassing from a total contact cast. These are equally unknown but have been assessed for hyperbaric use.

Once the product has off gassed and is no longer a liquid, then we usually wait 24 hours before hyperbaric exposure. No different than nail painting, hair weaves, or eyelash weaves.

Want the short answer? "It depends." I have always felt comfortable with waiting 24 hours. It's an empirical number until someone shows up with research and hard numbers.

Hope that helps.
